Groups

Organize your contacts into groups for targeted messaging and better management. Groups help you segment your audience based on criteria such as location, interest, or campaign participation.

Group List
  • What are Groups? : Organize contacts
    • Definition : Containers for grouping contacts based on criteria (location, interest, campaign)
    • Purpose : Send targeted messages, manage segments, improve engagement
    • Examples : VIP Customers, Newsletter Subscribers, Product Interested, Event Attendees
    • Dynamic : Easily assign/remove contacts as their status or interests change

Creating a New Group

Create Group
  • Creating a New Group : Steps
    • 1. Click : + New Group button at the top left of the Group page
    • 2. Enter Name : Descriptive name for the group (e.g., VIP Customers)
    • 3. Click Submit : Save the new group
    • Result : Group now appears in the list and is ready for contact assignment

You can edit or delete groups anytime from the Action column in the group list.


Viewing and Managing Groups

    • ID : A unique identifier for each group
    • Name : The label you assigned to the group
    • Action : Edit or Delete the group
    • Search : Quickly find groups by name
    • Bulk Actions : Select multiple groups for batch operations

Groups are immediately available for assignment to contacts after creation. No additional configuration required.


Assigning Groups to Contacts

    • From Contact Edit : Navigate to contact, open edit popup, select groups from dropdown
    • Save : Click submit to apply group assignment
    • Multiple Groups : A single contact can belong to multiple groups
    • View : Contact detail page shows all assigned groups

Tip: You can also assign groups during bulk import using CSV files. Include group names in your import data.


Filtering Contacts by Group

    • In Contact List : Use filter dropdown to display only contacts in selected group
    • Targeted Campaigns : Send broadcasts only to specific groups
    • Quick Segmentation : Combine group filters with status/source filters for precise targeting

Filtering by group ensures your messages reach the right audience, improving engagement and reducing spam complaints.


Best Practices for Group Management

    • Review Regularly : Remove outdated groups to keep list manageable
